S.P.Y Factor

Stimulating Potential in Youths (S.P.Y)

The S.P.Y Factor Programme is aimed at stimulating potential in youths. The Programme was introduced on September 15, 2010 at the Greater Portmore Junior Centre. Specially invited guests conduct presentations, sometimes inclusive of practical demonstrations to the children. The Programme is aimed at broadening the knowledge-base of our participants, enhance their investigative skills and to stimulate them to aspire for greater things in life.

The sessions are held on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Some of the presenters thus far have included the Port Royal Marine Laboratory,     Scientific Research Council, Forensic Laboratory, Fire Prevention, and Divisions of the Institute Of Jamaica.

The S.P.Y Factor Programme has proven to be very beneficial to the students. They are exposed to new and  interesting things that people in Jamaica have been working to understand, develop and  maintain.
