The Programmes Coordination Division is in the process of planning its annual Children Symposium. The theme for this year’s event is, “A Walk in My Shoes” and the focus is on different individuals who have had challenging circumstances to overcome in order to get where they are in life today.
The participants will mainly be youths between the ages 12-25 years. Through this symposium it is hoped that participants will be motivated to excel despite challenges, and not to see themselves as less than, or as persons destined to continue the cycle of negativity and underachievement because of their background, limitations, or their abilities.
